Role:

Write jQuery, CSS to maintain cross-browser compatibility and functionality, and maintain branding.

Summary:

Each of the 50 brands had unique coding which had to be incorporated into each site's solution.

Project:

Migrate old press area to WordPress based site.

Role:

Developer & Designer

Summary:

Determined what WP native tags could be used, what custom tags would be needed, wrote the PHP, mySQL, and CSS to make it work once the database content was transferred by a team member.

Projects:

Write PHP/SQL application for conference registrations.

Role:

Sole developer

Summary:

Designed database, wrote PHP/SQL application, due to deprecated hardware no frameworks/tools were used. Attendee, administrative, and, scientific paper submission interface all designed to specifications. Gathered all specs by interviewing stakeholders.

Result:

Successfully used on 9 conferences, totaling 2000+ international attendees. All previous conferences were managed manually; this system automated finances and planning saving time and money. Modular code and normalized database meant each instance was fast.

Projects:

Develop logos and sites for 5 new divisions, establish secure mini-sites for special projects, and update/maintain existing sites' content.

Role:

Sole graphic designer, sole developer

Summary:

Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lab, and the subsequent Photon Science division had 5000 web pages, of which 1000 were active. I implemented server side includes, database driven graphics, and other contextual content to keep pages fresh without increasing maintenance time. I also designed and implemented all new graphics and code for all projects.
